My own yoga path

My yoga journey began in 2009 in Thailand, but the seed was actually planted much earlier. When I discovered the OM symbol and my first mantras at the age of 18, it felt like a profound recognition from my soul. Shaped by my father—himself a physiotherapist and Reiki master—I was drawn out into the world to fully immerse myself in the yoga lifestyle.

For over six years, I traveled through the most inspiring yoga centers on earth—from Koh Phangan and Guatemala to India, where I completed my 200-hour Hatha training in Rishikesh in 2012. This carefree time of learning and magical encounters left a deep mark on me. In between, I always returned to work with great fulfillment as a physiotherapist in Germany. In 2014, my spirit guided me back home to Bad Saulgau.

There, I united my two worlds: I worked in my father’s physiotherapy practice and built my own yoga studio. My teaching offerings grew intuitively alongside my own practice—from Hatha and Vinyasa to prenatal yoga and the energetically powerful Shakti Naam. The studio brought wonderful people together, resulting in deep, lasting connections. The inner calling to pass on my knowledge in an even more profound and well-founded way eventually led me down new paths.

After stops in Tenerife and Hamburg, I began working as an instructor for Medical Yoga at the Hockenholz Academy, combining my medical foundation with yoga philosophy. To this day, it is an absolute passion of mine to pass this knowledge on to my colleagues in physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Out of this dedication, my own training and further education programs (150h & 300h) emerged in 2020 and 2021, with a strong focus on yoga anatomy and therapy.

Since 2024, I have been back in Upper Swabia near Lake Constance. Today, my energy flows into my retreats, yoga teacher trainings, and managing my studio in Bad Saulgau. I am supported by a fantastic team of teachers—together, we not only teach in the studio but also bring yoga into a women’s addiction clinic through a deeply rewarding collaboration.

Where the journey will take me next… is written in the stars.

Warm regards, Marina
